How long will it take for my pool to be ready?

Summer is so close that we know (like every year) that you will want to have your backyard ready for summer and be able to enjoy some delicious sunbathing and tanning along with moments of relaxation in a beautiful and functional pool on your backyard.

What we have to keep in mind is that it is not possible to have your pool ready in 1 week. Every good project needs time and respect for its processes, although pools become a true emergency during summertime, out of the things that are not meant to be “rushed” is building a pool.

First of all, it is necessary to analyze the space available for the construction of your new pool, which is why we highly recommend scheduling a consultation with our experts to analyze each necessary point in your home project.

In any case, here I tell you the steps to follow and the approximate time of each step to calculate the time it would take to have your new oasis in your backyard:

1. Design (1 to 4 weeks)

2. Permitting (2 to 6 weeks, or mode depending on the City or County)

3. Excavation, Steel, Plumbing, Electrical (1 to 2 weeks)

4. Shotcrete and curing process (3 weeks)

5. Deck, Landscaping, Custom Features (1 to 4 weeks)

Total Time to Build a Pool: 8 to 12 Weeks on Average

Remember that this is an approximate time, as it can last 8 weeks, it may take longer depending on your City, the space (if it is necessary to increase retaining walls) depends on the type of design of your pool, etc.

At National Pools we can speed up the permitting process in certain cities and shorten construction times because we have the knowledge, what to do first and what exactly to show on your plans to expedite approval and avoid unnecessary delays. With over 16 years of experience working with plan check engineers face to face, we know the Cities and the Cities know us.

Apply your estimate online now and have your pool ready as soon as possible to enjoy.
